“Last Summer after suddenly losing my best friend Chris, I was trying to help the family put together a celebration of life event in the town in which she had lived. It was important to me that there be a piece of Chris, something unique, that could be taken to another celebration of life in her hometown. I reached out to Brandi’s Compassionate Sound for help. There are 2 things I found in this process that I still am blown away by; The first part is how easy the process was and how it allowed every person throughout Chris’s life to share and contribute photos in a Google Drive that allowed the video that Brandi made to capture all the phases of my friend’s life. The video Brandi made seamlessly threaded together pictures and videos in a beautiful, funny and charming tapestry that captured a life in a way that made everyone that watched it feel that it reflected Chris’s essence perfectly. The video was so well balanced between family, friends and client photos that everyone felt it was personal to them. The video played on a loop throughout the service as people wandered in and out. Everyone that saw it all said the same thing. This video absolutely captured Chris in a way that made us all feel like she was in the room. The second thing that I still cannot quite figure out, is how Brandi was able to produce a video like she did for us, when she never met Chris. The video she made for us felt like a love letter to a friend and family member written by someone that knew Chris really well.
